St. Kilda & Melbourne Aquarium

On Sunday Glyn and I jumped on the tram over to St. Kilda to have a look around, as we thought this was one of the places we'd most want to live for this year. It is such a nice place, really pretty and loads of cool little boutique style shops and market stalls on a Sunday. Plus it's right by the beach! And has an amazing view of the city!

Glyn's camera has a panoramic setting!

Luna Park (Unfortunately with scaffold!)

We then came back into the city and like typical tourists headed for the aquarium!

Hope you're enjoying these posts, I'd like to start doing some more fashion related posts (outfit posts etc.) but that will probably all come more when we're settled! :)

Hello Melbourne!

So Glyn and I arrived in Melbourne yesterday morning after an insanely long flight. We didn't really do a lot yesterday as we were wayyy too tired, but today we ventured out into the city!
Here are a few photos I snapped while we were wandering around. The City Circle tram is free and it just goes in a loop round the city, literally couldn't believe it was free!

Amazing food! I had the spinach & ricotta pastry and salad, and of course Glyn had a meaty Chinese meal!

Mac

I've never really been massively into make up (I have a look and I stick to it!) but while waiting around at Heathrow for our flight the other day I noticed a Mac counter and I couldn't resist. I spent a good half hour trying to decide, in the end I only came away with these:
Mac Eyeshadow in Gleam
Mac Brush 228

Really pleased with these purchases, the eyeshadow is a lovely change from just eyeliner for my make up. For some reason it looks quite pink here and in the pot, but once applied it doesn't come out that colour on me, I love it though!
I don't really buy make up a lot but I have bought a couple of other bits recently:
No7 'Smoky Rose' Eyeshadow Quad
No7 Lash Adapt Mascara

(L-R) Rimmel 030 Tell No One
Kate Moss For Rimmel 03

The No7 stuff is really nice, but I only ever buy it when those £5 off vouchers are about because it's so expensive otherwise! (I also got cleanser and toner) This mascara is usually £12.50 but I would never get it at this price! Boots were doing a deal as well as the £5 vouchers you got this little eyeshadow palette free when you bought the mascara - how could I say no!?
The lipsticks are both lovely too, I got the Rimmel 030 Tell No One a while back and have just replaced it, it's a gorgeous coral colour with a matte finish which I love, it does tend to be quite drying though so I use Cocoa Butter lip balm underneath :) and the Kate one has now become my everyday lip colour as it's so subtle on me.

I know some people probably won't enjoy this post but I thought some might! :)
My friend Sam has a really good beauty blog, check it out here.

Hello!

My names Kirstie, welcome to my blog! I've been meaning to start a proper blog for ages, and actually keep it going, and I thought what better time than now as my boyfriend Glyn and I have just arrived in Australia for a year! Hopefully I'll have lots of things to post about on here regarding how we're getting on for our friends and family back home to keep up to date on, but also will be posting random bits about fashion, music and whatever else I like!

This is Glyn and I at our leaving do we had at Chester Races, with a bottle of champagne and our winnings from the last race where the horse was called Glyn! Such a great day and night, and a brilliant way to say goodbye to our friends and families!  We'll miss you all so much while we're out here in Australia!

I'm wearing:
Dress - H&M
Hat - H&M
Belt - Primark
